Following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026, communities across the country continue to face unimaginable challenges. Families have lost loved ones, homes have been destroyed, and many people and animals are in urgent need of assistance.
Dr. Valerie, one of our veterinarians at Aylmer Veterinary Clinic, has launched a fundraiser to help provide support through trusted organizations working directly with affected communities.
Hello everyone,
For those of you I have not yet had the chance to meet, my name is Valerie, and I am one of the veterinarians at Aylmer Veterinary Clinic.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. After completing my veterinary degree, life brought me to Aylmer, which has proudly become my home over the past five years. Many of you may have seen Venezuela mentioned in the news over the years, and most recently, following the devastating earthquakes that struck on June 24, 2026.
Today, I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support.
For many years, Venezuelan families have faced tremendous challenges, and this natural disaster has left many communities even more vulnerable. Thousands of people have been affected, families have been displaced, lives have been lost, and entire buildings have collapsed, leaving many without safe shelter, clothing, medical care, and basic necessities.
In the midst of this tragedy, there have also been incredible acts of compassion. International rescue teams, local volunteers, and organizations from around the world have stepped forward to provide assistance to families and animals in need.
Being so far away from my home country and unable to be there physically has been incredibly difficult. This fundraiser is my way of helping from here and giving a voice to those who need support most.
My goal is to raise funds that will be directed toward trusted organizations. They are currently providing earthquake relief, support for children and families, and veterinary care. I will personally help coordinate the distribution of these funds to ensure they reach areas where they can make the greatest impact.
Thank you for standing with Venezuela.
